Dandelion

Standing here, below the child's reach
is tomorrow undefined
in this golden dandelion sea.
Within it she would play by mother's side.
Now time has stripped away
All the dreams they used to climb...

With thoughts and words, we'll heaven build until we reach the sky.
I'll climb upon this tower Babel, until I learn to fly...

Daddy I dreamed I died tonight...
All the black lines turned to white.
My mind has been set free again,
Not clouded as it was before, I saw from end to end...

Dandelion sun has turned to moon,
the color from her face
only echoes in her silver room...
The crown that she once wore
now blows in wind
As time has stripped away
All the mother could never mend...

With mind and tongue, I'll heaven build until I can't deny.
I'll climb upon your castle walls and dream to get inside.

As dust returns to dust, return to dust, return to me.

...and all I knew was what I saw, and all I saw was what I dreamed,
as dust returns to dust, we turn to dust, return to me...
I've got a flower, blow on the petals, wind blows where it goes.
