So here’s where we started 6 years ago
take a look at me today
I’m still complaining I’m on that road
I guess some things remain the same
like all that you done for me, you save my soul
I guess it’s time for me to write some songs
that make me not want to die
and not go out by taking my life
I got a lot of life to live, a lot that I can give, places I’ve been
let me sing like it’s my only breathe
let me pray that I may change the day
and when I breathe, let me acknowledge the giver of the gift
cause all things considered, I can’t see the big picture
as you’re chipping away at my soul
I lift up my hands, I letting go....
My friend she tells me some things she knows about
To see is to see from somewhere
I can’t see heaven, but I’m looking out to the moon
and the stars up there
It must be the simple things that really count
I guess it’s time for me to write some songs
that make me live as I should
to look for the good in this splintering world
cause I don’t claim to see all the road,
or the plan that you hold
I wouldn’t be that bold, I should be thankful
